Obituary of Royal Dolph Gesner

Royal Dolph Gesner, born March 15, 1936, passed away to the Grace of his loving God on April 4, 2022.
He was 86.
Married for 65 years, he is survived by his four children; David, Gregory, Mark, and Rebekah. His
Grandchildren; Christopher, Diana, Liz, Katy, Sean, Amanda and Ryan. His Great‐Grandchildren; Chyann,
Erik, Kylee, Garrett, Natalie, Devin, Victoria, Mathew, and his Step‐Great Grandchildren Tavian and
Kyrah. His sister, Ellen Clifford, Reneliza, wife to David Gesner, and Tangelee, wife to Gregory Gesner.
Royal Gesner worked for Boise Cascade for 42 years, he was a Husband, father, grandfather, great
grandfather, mentor, friend and peaceful soul.
As a loving husband who cherished his wife Nellie Lorraine for 65 years, he courted his high school
sweetheart from North Salem High school, to the nearest ice cream shop each day as they walked home
from school. Royal's love and devotion for Nellie Lorraine marched on 6 days after her passing on 3‐29‐
22, as he could no longer wait to join her with their Heavenly Father.
Royal devoted himself to his family, friends and church. Always first a Husband, father and grandfather.
A service will be announced at a later date. The family request that any gifts be donated in his name to
the Salvation Army or the South Salem Friends Church, on Baxter Rd, in SE Salem Oregon.
