Obituary of Ethel Corrine Moyle

Ethel Corrine Moyle

August 7, 1925 - July 20, 2022

     Ethel Corrine Nielsen was born August 7, 1925 in Minot, North Dakota and passed away July 20, 2022 in West Linn, OR.   She was surrounded by her family Barbara Hall, Sandy and her husband Gene Bitz and Donna Taylor. 

     After her mother, Marie Crosby passed away, Ethel was raised by her Danish father, Christian Nielsen and Edith Nielsen.    Ethel had an adventurous spirit and joined a girlfriend for a visit to Pacific NW.  They found work at the shipyards in Portland during WWII. 

     During that time, she was introduced to Raymond Vern Moyle.  They were wed December 16, 1944.  Soon after they began a family.   While Ray was away often building roads through the Federal Highway Act, Ethel was very industrious raising their children:  Barbara, Sandy, Gary, Donna and Kenny. 

     She was known for her baking and her textile artistry of sewing.  She often would sew all the kids clothing and even held a job at White Stag as a seamstress for couple of years to make ends meet.  

     She loved gardening, spending time with her six grandchildren and her dogs.
