Oh, where to begin . . . our mother was the sweetest and kindest person I’ve ever known. She always had a smile for everyone, as well as expressing genuine happiness upon your arrival, no matter the circumstances. Our mom was the ultimate “giver”, always considered others before herself. Like our father, our mother was a prolific reader who loved to share good books with anyone interested. She loved PBS and never lost the wonder of learning something new. Our mother was beloved by more friends than we ever imagined. She just had that appeal, probably because she was so loyal. I’m bragging, but I guess that’s ok because we loved her so. Penelope and I have been extremely fortunate to have had our parents well into their late nineties, not everyone is so lucky. However it’s devastating to lose them at any age. Thank you for loving us all those years, mother! Peace be with you.
