Obituary of Jacob Scot Sorn

Jacob “Jake” Sorn, 38, of Portland, Oregon passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 7, 2023 at his residence. Jake was born on July 4, 1985 to Jeffrey Sorn and Jennie Hull in Baker City, Oregon.

 

He was raised in Eastern Oregon and attended school in North Powder and Baker City. He graduated in 2003 from Sprague High School in Salem, Oregon. Jake was a shining light to all those who knew him. He was always considerate and kind to everyone he met and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had a love for technology, video games, Legos, and Hawaii where he lived for 14 years. He loved animals, music, and playing the guitar. His number one love was always his son Evan.

 

Jake is survived by his son Evan Sorn, his father Jeffrey (Desiree) Sorn, his mother Jennie (Artie) Hull, his siblings Jeffrey, Carrie, Jamie, Julie, Ryan, Aaron, and Austin, and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

He is preceded in death by his bonus mom Roberta Sorn, grandpa and grandma Sorn, grandpa Norman and grandma Frankie.

 

He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. May he fly on eagles wings and be with Jesus.

 

Jake’s cremation arrangements were provided by Crown Cremation Services. There will be a Celebration of Life ceremony at a later date.
