Obituary of Ronald William Perkins Sr.

  Ronald William Perkins, Sr. passed away September 28, 2023.  He was born June 21, 1935 in Nampa, Idaho, the son of Lewis and Lillian Perkins.  He had one brother, Gary Perkins, and two sisters, Lois Hahmeyer and Marian Grape.  He moved with his family to Salem, Oregon where he attended high school at Salem High.  He served in the Air Force Military Police in Portland, Oregon.

  Ron had two sons with first wife, Elinor (Freeman) Perkins, and later married Rosemary (Papen) Perkins with four stepdaughters.  He worked, and retired, as a carrier for the US Postal Service.  Ron enjoyed doing various wood projects and crafts for himself and others. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing and participating in local theater in the Keizer, Oregon area. He also volunteered in helping to preserve some of the local history in the Keizer, Oregon area. Ron attended Dayspring Fellowship in Keizer, Oregon.  He is survived by his two sons, four stepdaughters, twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
